Thuringer Hof in Leipzig

Quaint tavern atmosphere, good German cuisine, a very friendly and fast waiter and a good price-performance ratio for our delicious lunch menu. A recommendation for everyone who is looking for no frills, but a down-to-earth brewery atmosphere.

The ambience of the Thüringer Hof is great. The high ceilings and vaults make it feel great. The food was delicious and the staff attentive and friendly. We can definitely recommend this place. If we're in Leipzig again, we'll be happy to come back

The food was only lukewarm after we had waited 40 minutes for it, the starter came with the main course and it took almost 30 minutes until we had our three drinks at the beginning. The restaurant was poorly occupied. In principle, it would be advisable to rethink the organization. Every time someone comes with a reservation, the waiter has to walk to the other side of the room to check the list and the distance rules between the tables are sometimes very tight ... the food tasted good and we hope that we will just had a bad day. Would love to come again. But then please have a freshly made and not half-heated dish. Thank you.

Really like this place.. the nearest thing in Leipzig ive found to a Bavarian beer hall. But the service is worse than typical german...shame really.

The food itself was very good. But the waiter was absolutely not friendly to me, and the person I was with noticed it, but he was German, but I wasn't ..... !!!

Just great. Everything really fits together. We had the knuckle of lamb and the knuckle of pork and pasta with tomato sauce for our child. All 3 meals can only be recommended. The food arrived very quickly after ordering. The waiter was very friendly and pleasant. The ambience matches the good German Thuringian cuisine. We'll definitely be back 😊

At first everything is okay. Ambience good, climate could be improved. Then things went downhill: I forgot to order the main course, and the waitress was in a bad mood. At first we were lied to, in the end not even said goodbye. The dishes were average. It's cheaper, a little more delicious and in much more pleasant surroundings in the area.

I was a regular here. Why? The quality of the food is unrivaled in Leipzig, the head waiter is REALLY skilled, excellent service culture. Traditional German cuisine (also) meets more international tastes. A restaurant that you often want! Despite the outstanding quality of the service and the food, the prices are still relatively humane. Here you can invite grandma and grandpa, or in-laws to dinner without embarrassing yourself!

Solid house. Here you can get good home cooking which is very tasty. Friendly and fast service. Outside seats are on the street but that shortened the waiting time and was totally ok. Highly recommended!

Good food, value for money. We ordered the senior size goulash (attached photo) (it's half a plate) and it was quite generous. The other dish was a hill specialty with onion, it wasn't bad. The waitress was a very kind and attentive person.

There was very delicious German cuisine, with great service. A baby chair for our little one was also offered directly. There are enough parking spaces nearby in the parking garage.

Had promised us a little more .... staff tried to be friendly and nice ..... The food was unfortunately not that great ... Price performance did not really fit .. A pity.....

In the cozy house south of the Thomaskirche, which has been traditional since 1494 (!), You dine well and abundantly every day: I hardly managed to get my delicious plate for seniors. The menu should have something for everyone! Recommendable!

Waiting 45 minutes to get a drink to the table is not on. Nice large spacious room inside, a few tables outside. Toilets smelled really bad.

Food was great,traditional german menue,no desert card,but you can get ice creme.staff was friendly and we got a colouring page and pencils for our son to occupy him.the only negative,it was quite noisy at lunchtime.

Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed! The food was good (hence, not 1 star), but the service was unsatisfactory. The waiter had a written list of each person's preferred food, and still, they managed to screw it up. I didn't get my desert, and when I brought it up, they acted like it was my fault... But man... It was on the effing list...

All the menu was in English but the service was super friendly and would explain anything you need. Also ask for recommendations. We tried the Luthergericht and is definitely worth it. It’s huge for just 1person! The most expensive here are the beers:4,80 for a 0,5 glass. Coming from Berlin this sounds too much for me!
